What: A volunteer-organized local half marathon that features a trail-only course.

When: July 27th, 2025.

Pre-race check in at Gillies Lake parkrun: Saturday July 26th morning at Gillies Lake in the field by the MRCA parking lot from 9:00 to 10:00.

Registration: Opens at 7:30 AM

Race start: 8:30 AM

Awards ceremony: ~12:00PM

Where: Hersey Lake Conservation Area, Timmins, ON

Directions: The Hersey Lake Conservation Area can be accessed by vehicle via Boychuk Drive off Hwy 655. Boychuk Drive is 4.46 km from the Hwy 655 / Algonquin Blvd intersection.

Minimum Age*

Half Marathon: 16y/o

10km individual and teams: 14y/o

5km: 10y/o

*Minimum age requirement according to Run Canada Committee recommendation. Age by December 31st 2025

For 10km teams: Minimum 4 members, maximum 6 members. Top 4 finishers of the team count towards team scoring.

You can either register for teams by each registering individually with the same team name, or by registering as a group.
