Officials training clinic for the following roles:
* Starter
* Starter Assistant
Additionally, for those who have received training as a Meet Manager Operator a practicum session will be offered alongside the Photo Timing Operator during a Time Trial.
Facilitators:
1) Paul MacDonald, Starters
2) Paul Boudreau, Finish line (Meet Manager, Photo Timing)
Requirements:
1) minimum 16 years of age
Mentorship is available to all officials.
2) membership with Athletics NS or any Athletics PSO:
- Athletics NS membership is available individually through ANS at: https://athleticsnovascotia.ca/become-member
- or, through our club (free). Contact Truro Lions for more information.
3) prerequisite: completion of the free online Officials 101-102 course https://athletics.ca/get-involved/officials/become-an-official/
Date: Saturday, March 28th, 2026
Time:
10am - noon, classroom session (Clubhouse)
12:00 - 12:30pm lunch break, lunch will will be provided
12:30 - 2:30pm, practicum (Wilson's Track)
Location: No 2 Construction Battalion Athletic Facility, 57 Golf St., Truro B2N 3C7
Accessible washrooms and ample parking is available.
