Meet Your Coaches

Rebecca Stallwood: Rebecca fell in love with running after participating in a school cross country meet in grade 6. Soon after she joined a local running club. Rebecca competed throughout high school and went on to run in the NCAA for West Virginia University. After graduating Rebecca was a volunteeer assistant cross country coach for 6 years. She also helped coach a youth track club and organized cross country camps during that time.

She has a passion for running and is grateful for all of the friendships and opportunities that she had as a result of the sport.

She looks forward to sharing her passion and expertise with the Burlington Running Community.

In her free time she enjoys the outdoors with her 3 children and 2 dogs.

Laura Hutchinson: Laura started running at 12 years old, sparking a lifelong love of running that has shaped her journey as both an athlete and a coach. She no longer competes, but now enjoys the camaraderie of running with friends. With over a decade of experience as a physiotherapist, she has worked with athletes of all levels, from recreational runners to olympic athletes.

Laura’s coaching philosophy is all about making running fun for kids. She believes in integrating education on form and running style into games and engaging workouts. When she’s not coaching, you’ll likely find Laura on the trails, spending time with her two daughters or running her small business.
